Merry Christmas 2007

I can say this Christmas Day has proved to me that I have too many thoughts put into my mind that I don't filter out or control. Shows that God is really in control. Really enjoyed today. Spent the day with ethel, eliza, james, lucy and elroi. Fun Fun. Then at night at christine's house. The party was FUN! Especially the singing and the Wii. Of course the company of friends was the best! (: Merry Christmas.

The Bucket List

The Bucket List. Basically its about 2 men with cancer, leave the hospital to fulfill this list of things to do before they die (The Bucket List). One of them, Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) owns the hospital, the other Carter Chambers(Morgan Freeman) who is just a patient there. Yea. So they fly around the world doing stuff, starting with sky diving. It has humour at the starting, but towards the end its more touching. I personally think its a good show. The humour is not like retarded-funny. yep. I think everyone should watch it. :P

I Celebrate The Day

Christmas is coming. Some how, no matter how bad the year has been, Christmas always brings me back to silence, to being silent (for the Saviour is born). I really thought this Christmas wouldn't affect me. As some of you know, this year has been bad for me. However, Christmas has reminded me again of the birth of my Saviour.
I have been wanting to share this song for the past 2 years or so. Just that I either forget or can't find a good means to share it. Now here it is. Listen to the lyrics, though the words are quite blunt, it really speaks the truth.

Relient K - I Celebrate The Day

And with this Christmas wish is missed
The point I could convey
If only I could find the words to say to let You know how much You've touched my life
Because here is where You're finding me, in the exact same place as New Year's eve
And from a lack of my persistency
We're less than half as close as I want to be

And the first time
That You opened Your eyes did You realize that You would be my Savior
And the first breath that left Your lips
Did You know that it would change this world forever

And so this Christmas I'll compare the things I felt in prior years
To what this midnight made so clear
That You have come to meet me here

To look back and think that
This baby would one day save me
In the hope that what You did
That you were born so I might live
To look back and think that
This baby would one day save me

And I, I celebrate the day
That You were born to die
So I could one day pray for You to save my life

Hitman, The Movie

Hitman! I just watched it. In my opinion. It sucks. But there is a valid reason, and so it may not suck for some of you. As for me, after playing Hitman: Blood Money, the movie isn't the same as the game at all. In the game, He doesn't go blow everything up and shoot everyone. Hitman is basically a silent killer and only kills his target with out anyone ever knowing he was there. The movie did not portray that scene. Another down point is that the movie did not show any of the cool equipment/weapons that was in game, besides his silver ballers.

As for the movie itself (not comparing to the original game), it didn't have overwhelming odds that only super-humans could surpass. Instead, the ratio of his ability to the amount of "enemies" he killed was right. Basically, in the movie, he was hired to kill the guy to hire him. Of course the guy didn't want to be killed, but to frame Number47 (Thats the hitman's number by the way).

Overall, the show would be slightly above average if you didn't play the game. But for those who did play the game, you know that the movie sucks. (:

The pain of Leaving

Picture this. A father is leaving on a long trip. He checks in at the airport. He let's his ticket be approved and he enters the area for only the passengers. He turns around. He sees his 3 year old daughter crying. He can't help it but the tears fall from his eyes. I've almost forgot the pain of someone close leaving. The expression that I saw on the father's face truly expressed that pain. I could feel it as though it was happening to me.

Natural Phenomena

I stumbled on this site that showed 10 of the best natural phenomena. Really cool. Such beauty on the earth. My favourites are the Aurora Borealis and the Gravity Wave. I really want to see Aurora Borealis before I die. So I have to travel to the south pole. :P Haha!

Gravity Wave
‘In a gravity wave, the upward moving region is the most favorable region for cloud development and the sinking region favorable for clear skies. That is why you may see rows of clouds and clear areas between the rows of clouds. A gravity wave is nothing more than a wave moving through a stable layer of the atmosphere. Thunderstorm updrafts will produce gravity waves as they try to punch into the tropopause. The tropopause represents a region of very stable air. This stable air combined with the upward momentum of a thunderstorm updraft (trigger mechanism) will generate gravity waves within the clouds trying to push into the tropopause.’ - from here.

Aurora Borealis (aka Solar wind, Southern Lights)
‘The sun gives off high-energy charged particles (also called ions) that travel out into space at speeds of 300 to 1200 kilometres per second. A cloud of such particles is called a plasma. The stream of plasma coming from the sun is known as the solar wind. As the solar wind interacts with the edge of the earth’s magnetic field, some of the particles are trapped by it and they follow the lines of magnetic force down into the ionosphere, the section of the earth’s atmosphere that extends from about 60 to 600 kilometres above the earth’s surface. When the particles collide with the gases in the ionosphere they start to glow, producing the spectacle that we know as the auroras, northern and southern.’ - from virtual finland

Fastest Windows Vista Notebook

Here is the iconic news of the day! The fastest Windows Vista notebook, is a MacBook Pro! Haha!

Fastest: Apple MacBook Pro
The fastest Windows Vista notebook we've tested this year is a Mac. Try that again: The fastest Windows Vista notebook we've tested this year--or for that matter, ever--is a Mac. Not a Dell, not a Toshiba, not even an Alienware. The $2419 (plus the price of a copy of Windows Vista, of course) MacBook Pro's PC WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 88 beats Gateway's E-265M by a single point, but the MacBook's score is far more impressive simply because Apple couldn't care less whether you run Windows. What do you do?

It's finally the end of the week. ok, not finally coz time just flew by again. Oh well. Ever had a moment when you know it was an opportunity to do what you said you would do. Yet at that moment you panic or freeze and just do nothing. I think many of us are like that when the opportunity comes to share His word.

Time ain't their friend, we only got this many chances to tell them.

6 Ways to Becoming a Best Friend of God

In our Christian walk, God should be/is the center of our faith. It is often portrayed and easy to understand the Master-servant relationship between us and God. However, God does want to be our friend. Not just a friend we see once a week, but a very close friend that converses daily. And by being close to Him we know our steps are guided by Him. Nothing is more important than this relationship with Him.

Through constant conversation. It's not about attending church once a week or just daily quiet time. Friendship is about talking and sharing experiences. The Bible does tell us to pray constantly.
Through continual meditation. This is basically thinking about His Word throughout your day. You can't love God unless you know Him, and to know Him is to know His word. You don't have to be constantly reading the Bible. You can think about it throughout your day, recalling verses and stuff.
Be honest with God. Isn't this the building block of friendship? By being honest. God doesn't need you to be perfect. He just wants you to be completely honest, about your faults, feelings. Even if you are discontented with something, bring it to God. Tell Him all about it, but still accept His decision it, as His ways are still higher than ours.
Obey God in faith. We don't normally think of obedience as a characteristic of friendship. It's more reserved for relationship with a boss or a superior. However, obeying God is a condition of being close to Him. This is so as we, as Christians, obey Him out of love, not out of duty, guilt or fear. Unbelievers think that Christians obey out of obligation but it is out of love, because we have been forgiven!
Desire friendship with God more than anything. This is also saying, place God first. We must be passionate about the relationship. As we are passionate about our friendships with our best friend, we must be even more passionate in this relationship with God. It's a relationship that will last forever.

Having know this I challenge you to make this effort to be close to Him.

Relient K - I need you

Relient K's I need You, depicts the emptiness & stubbornness of our hearts.

I've dug up miles and miles of sand
Searching for something I can't see
And I've just got bruised and battered hands
And a brand new void inside of me
Complete with walls I did create
From all the earth that I've displaced
A mess that I have made from what
I've just let pile and pile up
I have not been abandoned, no I have not been
Deserted and I have not been forgotten

I need you
I need you here
I need you now
I need security somehow
I need you
Like you would not believe
You're the only thing I want
Cause you're everything I need

Explore the cave that is my chest
A torch reveals there's nothing left
Your whispers echo off the walls
And you can hear my distant calls
The voice of who I used to be
Screaming out "someone, someone please
Please shine a light into the black
Wade through the depths and bring me back

I have not been abandoned, no I have not been
Deserted and I have not been forgotten

I need you
I need you here
I need you now
I need security somehow
I need you
Like you would not believe
You're the only thing I want
Cause you're everything I need

When my hopes seem to dangle
Somewhere just beyond my reach
You say you've heard my prayers
And read my words there on the beach

I need you
I need you here
I need you now
I need security somehow
I need you
Like you would not believe
You're the only thing I want
Cause you're everything I need

Lifehouse - Storm

Trust my friend, Trust. Have faith, and you will move the mountains. Listen to this song.
How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head

If I could just see you
This stormness would turn to light
If I had to see you
The stormness will turn to light

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright
And everything will be alright

I know you didn't bring me out here to drown
So why am I 10 feet under and upside down?
Barely surviving has become my purpose
Cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface

If I could just see you
Everything will be alright
If I see you
The stormness will turn to light

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright

And I will walk on water
You will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright
I know everything is alright
Everything's alright

Halloween

Stayed home most of the time today. Only went out for driving. Oh well. anyway, watched the movie Halloween today. That was quite disturbing. It's about some boy who became a psychopath, and kill his whole family except his mother and baby sister. He was then put in prison. He also killed a nurse while he was in there. After the killing of the nurse he didn't speak a single word, not even to the doctor trying to help him. He was silent for 15 years, til he escaped. He went to look for his baby sister, who was now in high school or something. yea. He like killed everyone he came across while trying to get to her. yea. Disturbing. Oh well.

This weekend

I haven't blogged in some time. Saturday first. Saturday had the drum workshop. Helped steven teach the people again. (: I dunno whether I made a difference to them but I hope I did, at least to a few of them. After that had Crosslink. Nothing really hit me during the session. Only during the comm meeting after that. I think the meeting was really good. Long time since we had a good talk. Had dinner with elroi, lucy, delicia and gloria.
Anyway, today I went for 8am service. Haven't been in a long time. It was good. Sunday School Sunday. Vicky and Gloria were leading the worship.

Made me realize stuff. Yea. Later just sat around and talk. Then went home. I just watched the show, Peaceful Warrior. Inspiring. Makes you put life back in perspective. This show is based on a true story.

Spammed

I just went in to check my school mail, and this is what I saw.

My teacher really spammed us. Just to tell us that we can't use pencil in that exam paper.

Commit Time

Tried to play Switchfoot's American Dream today. Not that I haven't tried before but now that Jimmy has like tabbed it out for me, now it's easier.
If you have the discipline to practice 6 hours a day, you will be no less than world standard.

I guess if I did, I probably will be, but there's always a lazy side of me. However, I will still commit to one hour a day at least when my holidays start the week after next. Yep. And that is not the only thing I have to commit time to. Have to commit time to the most important relationship. The relationship with Jesus. Much more time is needed in that.

Dual Music Player That Plays mp3 & CDs

Stumbled on this cool mp3 player today. It can play CDs too! Really useful though there are fewer CDs now.

The Alter and The Door

Casting Crowns: The Alter and The Door

1. What This World Needs
2. Every Man
3. Slow Fade
4. East To West
5. The Word Is Alive
6. The Altar And The Door
7. Somewhere In The Middle
8. I Know You're There
9. Prayer For A Friend
10. All Because Of Jesus

The songs in this album is so different from the first 2 albums that Casting Crowns has produced. It's in a way more rock, and more of the songs have catchy tunes, for example, What This World Needs. The lead singer, Mark Hall, has once again created stirring anthems that are easily embraced by many people. There are also introspective songs, Slow Fade, in the album. The song, Slow Fade, caution believers to make the right choices in life, though the ending of the song, to me, is a little creepy.

Finally, though the album is different than the previous albums, one similarity that hasn't change is that the lyrics are still full of meaning. Hall has really placed lyrics over tune.

Watched Rush Hour 3. I think I regretted watching it by myself. This kind of shows are usually more funny when you are with your friends watching it. Oh well. Anyway, the show on the overall was quite good. However, the first 2 Rush Hours were much better. In almost all shows the first one is always the best. (:

Rubik's Cube

I finished it the Rubik's Cube yesterday. :D Now, my fastest time is 3mins 41secs. Trying to get it faster. :D

Hitman: Blood Money

Stayed at Shawn's house yesterday. Played games the whole night. Yea. Anyway, anyone ever heard of the game Hitman? (: Hitman: Blood Money, the fourth game in the Hitman series. (: Good graphics, good game-play. Really lets you think as though you are an assassin. The fact that it makes you think that way, is what makes it super difficult. Must have a lot of patience, if not you will get super frustrated. Oh well. Gonna start studying tmr.

Judge

I judge. Even though it is wrong, I judge. I'm sorry. Just because I am better of in certain ways, it doesn't mean I can look down or discriminate others.

Though I hardly know you at all, I see your life on your blog, and I realise that you are really living quite a beaten up life. In my circle of friends, we would have labeled you, NSK. Who am I to say that you are worst of and discriminate you or people like you.

I see you label you're many photos with songs from an artist that I know too well, and my heart just boast that you haven't heard truly good songs. Just because I am more expose to music that you doesn't mean I can boast that I am better off than you.

Break me, Lord. Break my hardened heart.

Feeling A Moment

Yesterday I was watching the making of Heroes. It was good. Anyway, the main thing is that a song was played in the background. It sounded really familiar to me. Then I found out that the song was played in One Tree Hill too. Really nice song.

Another life lost

The second South Korean hostage shot dead by Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan was identified on Tuesday as Shim Sung-min, 29, a former IT firm employee who did volunteer work to help the poor.

Vacancy, Coordinated Noise

Today had TMS quiz in church. Didn't study at all. So didn't know how to answer most of it. :P Oh well. Thanks james for helping me with my coding. yep. (: Anyway, after church went for lunch at PS, then watched Vacancy after that. Lousy show. Just chasing around and killing. Oh well.

Music, Coordinated Noise

First time I heard someone say they were amused when I said that line. Haha! Technically, it is true, but for us Christians, it is a way for us to worship. As for secular musicians, basically music is that. :P

Eternity in Your hands

The beauty is there everyday, it is just whether you notice it. Every morning we wake up and we live each day just like any other. Every night we lie asleep knowing we will wake up the next morning. The fact is that today is a gift, not something we will definitely have, don't let a moment pass without Him.

God's Supernatural Grace

I almost died today for my LAN test today. By God's grace I didn't. The test had part 1 & 2. I accidentally saved part 2 over part 1 at the last 5 minutes of the test. Fortunately I was given some extra time to redo. Really thank God for that. Anyway, nothing much happened today besides finishing up assignments and the LAN test.

Keep me in Your arms.

Fortunate we are

Beneath all the fun and laughter, beneath all the busyness and rushing around, I think we can really say that we are still very fortunate and blessed. We don't even have to compare to a hungry child in a third world country, or maybe the 23 Koreans who were kidnapped by the taliban to see how blessed we are.

You'll fine you are happy just being alive

Weird-Funny-Happy Birthday

This is one of the weirdest birthdays ever. (: Many people with me happy birthday. Thanks everyone! (: However, I didn't meet any friends the whole of today, even in school. yea. And surprisingly, this is the first time I'm like really happy that my sis wish me happy birthday. She messaged me from melbourne. (:
Anyway, today is also kind of weird happy coz God gave me this song. (: or rather, He let me stumble upon it. The song is All I Really Want by Lincoln Brewster. He has really taken care of my for (as of today, 19) years of my life. And today is a nice date! 20072007(20/07/207). :P

Lord I love the way You love me
And how You move me deep within
Lord I love the way You hold me
And draw me into You

Lord I love the way You bless me
And how You look into my heart
Lord I love the way You lead me
Right into Your arms

God I praise Thee
You amaze me
Take my life
And let Your light shine through
Jesus Savior friend of sinners
Fill me up
Cause all I really want is more of You

Lord I love the way You love me

To save a life

I sit now wondering what I should have tried to say. There was a chance for me to share God's love, but yet I didn't. A friend shared with me that he felt that life has really no meaning. The only thing that keeps him from losing all purpose is the games he plays. Though he knows it is wrong, sometimes he feels suicidal. I always wonder what I could say in this kinds of situations.

May you feel God's presence in your life.

God, our All

Today was a bad day in man's point of view, but a success in God's view. Today I felt the same pain, same disappointment when I was let down after I held on to friends too much. This pain only happens when I hold on to worldly things. Today I was let down. What was I holding on to this time? Well, myself. I put hope into what my own skills and talents, thinking that it would get me very far. It didn't. I never want to get that feeling again. It's just so pain. I do not know why, but God somehow teaches me by big failures. Probably He will teach you in other ways, but the main thing is that He must be the center. He must be Number 1 in our lives. We must recognize that He is our God, our Redeemer, our Strength. Without Him, we wouldn't be the way we are today.

And I remember
How You found me
In the very same place
All my failings
Sure, they would have drowned me
Still You made a way

You are my freedom
Jesus, You're the reason
I'm kneeling again at Your throne
Where would I be without You
Here in my life
Here in my life

End of Busy-ness

Saviour King!

I have to say that the new Hillsong album is really good. Saviour King. I've uploaded it to my multiply, not to encourage piracy but to let you guys be touched by it. This album is not those kind of songs which you will just immediately fall in love with the song. You have to listen to it a few times and really hear the words. One of my favourite songs is Lord of Lords, written by Brooke Fraser. I can't find the lyrics online yet because it's a bit too new, but from what you can make out by hearing, you can know what the song is saying. This song should be playing now as you read this. You can listen to the rest here.

Youth Worship Retreat

I just came back from Youth Worship Retreat. I can't say I learnt a lot, but I can say I learnt some important stuff. I'm just gonna say the thing that hit me most.

This past 2 weeks I have been really busy with a lot of stuff, LoveMGS, school, church, etc. Yea. I have been rushing around trying to finish stuff. I got really frustrated when I couldn't finish my work in school before the worship retreat. I just got really restless and keep thinking of how to finish all the work in time. Even when I was on the way to the retreat, I kept thinking about the other work that I had to finish. I was listening to the song, God of Ages, from the new Hillsong album, Saviour King. Anyway, the song didn't hit me till I stepped into the room which we were having the worship retreat. The moment I stepped in, it was the ministry time of the first workshop, and Belinda was playing. When I went in, the first thing I felt was God saying, "trust in me". Not in like the form of words, but in the form of music that Belinda was playing. And I realised that God had been trying to tell me that since I was in school. In the song God of Ages, there is one line that goes, "I'll trust in You". God really works in many ways and we really have to trust in Him. Trust that everything will be taken cared of. Our God provides. He really does. Now I have almost completed all the work that I have to do, it is really by God's grace. We really have to trust Him and just do our best.

LoveMGS, Transformers

It has been a long and busy week, but it was really good. (: Friday had LoveMGS. It was good. I had to run around like crazy taking pictures. :P Haha! Yea. Then before that had to carry camera and tripod in school also. Super heavy lar. Oh well. Up till now I still haven't finish sorting out the pictures yet. So those of you who are waiting for it, please be patient. (:
Anyway, Saturday went to Barker Carnival. Really boring as usual. :P Haha! After spending 11 years in ACS, up till now the carnival still same kind of thing, nothing new. Haha! Yea. Met Eliza, Ethel, James, Elroi, and a lot others. Met some 5E1 people also. (: After that had drum lesson, then after that drum lesson. Haha! Ok, the first one I was teaching, the 2nd one I was being taught. (: Yep. After that went to eat at Chomp chomp, then watch Transformers with Nigel, Sunny, and some of Nigel's friends. Really good show.

Intellectualism in Church

I just read shangjun's post about the prevalence of intellectualism in Church. I totally agree with it. The youth is really lacking in the emotional side of experiencing God. I'm sure that God will make a way for us. The only thing now is that are we ready to avail ourselves

Healer

This song is from the new Planetshakers CD, Saviour Of The World. I think it's the only nice song in this album. Oh well. I don't have the lyrics yet, but these 2 lines strikes me.
Walk with me through fire,
Heal all my disease

It's really true. God is there all the way.

Drums, Favian's Birthday

Today had the drum & bass workshop in church. Uncle Chee Seng organized it. (: Steven and Yu Khing came and teach. (: I remember the last time they came and teach I was quite cocky. You know? Like think I already know everything. Yea. But this time, I made a point not to be like that. And I learned stuff today! (: Firstly, I learned that I'm not that precise with my beats. Second, I can do I have a bigger picture of how to tune. Well yea, thats 2 things among other stuff. yep. It was good. (: Anyway, after that went to favian's house for his birthday party. Haha! Fun lar. Talk cock, sing song, eat cake, etc. (: Yep. Favian, You are now 21. (:

Church Camp 2007

Finally get a chance to blog! Came back from church camp yesterday. (: It was fun. (: Had time to bond with friends. (: Been a long time since I got a chance to do that. Lets see where to begin. (:

First day was a long trip there. Around 5 hours. Slept most of it. In between had like 2 stops. One for pissing, and the other for lunch. (: The lunch was good. I didn't expect it to be that good. (: Check in was quite long though. Elroi, Lucy and I didn't get room until super late. The hotel was still trying to clear the rooms for us. But it was a blessing in disguise. We got a suite. :D Nice. Yep. 3 of us helped for the first theme talk that night.

On the 2nd day, woke up late. Missed breakfast. The good thing was the Free & Easy time we had after lunch. (: Elroi, Lucy, Leonard and I went to KL city. Lucy's cousin brought us there. Went to shop. Though we hardly bought anything. Haha! We bought headphones! Sennheiser Headphones man. Powerful, but expensive. It was worth around S$150. Haha! but was worth the money. (: Yep. Had seafood dinner after that. Super nice, and we didn't pay for it. (:

3rd day! Had theme talk in the morning again. Then lunch. After lunch had group bonding time, which we used to do the small item each group was suppose to do. Uncle Chee Seng came up with the super lame skit! Couldn't be more lame. haha! Lucky all I had to do was play the guitar. haha! (: Oh well. Anyway, had indoor games after that. Quite fun lar. Yea. After dinner was the items from each group. Lucy, elroi, huili & jiamin were the host. (: Haha! I was with gerald, gloria, leonard, vicky, val, seth watching the things. Damn funny lar. Some group did some song that really sounded like a communist anthem. Haha! (: Yea. talk a lot of cock. After all that, it was time to party! (: haha! Basically almost all the youth came to our room. (: Damn fun lar. Play stupid games and stuff, and ethel farted! :D haha! They watched Hide & Seek on tv after all that. I fell asleep half way, but was like half asleep the whole way. :P

Last day had sharing but wasn't there. Went to check out early to beat the queue. Oh well. The trip back was long. Slept most of it again. (: Oh! after that at night went to airport to pick james up. (:

Yep. Church camp wasn't as fun as the others, but it was good as it like let me be away from the usual world for a while. Yea. And, bonded with the younger friends more. (: Anyway, I'll upload the pics later. (:

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

Formatting

Yesterday went over to eliza's house to format her com. Spent like 4 hours there on her com. Haha! I think because I was watching tv half the time. :P Oh well. Ate dinner there then went home. Went home and format my laptop. :D I switch back from vista to xp. Yep. so no compatibility issues for now, and it also runs faster. seeing that xp doesn't use as much RAM as vista. (: Anyway, tomorrow is church camp and I still haven't packed anything. (:

Jimmy Lee, Tony Royster Jr, Gorden Campbell, Jojo Mayer & Nate Morton performed. Super good lar. Argh. A bit demoralizing when seeing Tony Royster Jr play. oh well. (: Some people are just so good. Gorden Campbell plays like some christian music also. Should hear his church version of Open The Eyes of my Heart. Good man.

Chalet and Fun

Whoo hoo! long week! Thursday after school went to sentosa with nigel, jiamin, sunny. Was ok lar. :P after that went to the chalet somewhere in changi. Somehow james led us round in circles. haha! But we found our way there in the end. Yep. Stayed 2 nights at the chalet. First night, met sharon's friends and just play game, talk cock. haha! 2nd night was for sharon's class. Had fun man. lucy, elroi, eliza, ethel, kim were there and we did stupid things. haha! (: Yea. Watch elroi kick the fire, after we made it with fire starters and threw the lighter into it. (:

From Likin' Pork, to The cost of Offering

Today went well. Nothing much happened but I feel kind of light/happy for no reason. Oh well. Had revision practice for WAD. It was easy. yea. I hope DB tomorrow will be easy also. (: I hate it when it looks easy then it turn out to be hard, or when it looks hard then it turn out to be easy. I rather have it hard, then hard, or easy then easy. Haha! anyway, this is what my friend made when he was bored. Ever seen the Linkin Park's album, Minutes to Midnight, album art? It looks like this.

After some Fireworks editing. This is what you get. Likin' Pork's Minutes to Slaughter.

Anyway, on a more important note. This verse got really stuck him my head. 2 Samuel 24:24.
But the king replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing."

The King is King David. Indeed we can't give what didn't cost us as an offering to God. Be it time, money, etc. If not, then it wouldn't a offering.

GDOP

God really moved me today. Worship for YM was good. Could really feel God's presence. Lunch and all was the usual. After lunch had long talk with Crystal, Nigel, James, Andrew, Bonnie. About the stuff in church. After that went to GDOP. I didn't want to go at first, but I just went anyway. I don't regret going. Could really feel God again. The worship, the prayer, the sharing. yep. There was a strange thing that happen. You know those kinds of days when you pray that God will hold back the rain so that you could do something that was planned? yea. In this case, it was literal. There were clouds around the whole stadium but not above the stadium. The clouds were like with lightning and thunder. God answers prayers.

These 2 days, Razer Mantis, C&C3

Wha. Finally got time to blog. yesterday was a super long day, even though it was the shortest day of school. (: School was only from 830am to 9am. yea. Spent the afternoon at home practicing drums, study, and restring my guitar. Yea. After that, went for drums. yep. I have a pic of the drums , my teacher, Jimmy Lee, is going to use for Drumfest! (: I think probably the first picture of it. Sexy colour, and sounds damn nice. (: Wish I could have it. Take a look.

After that met Nigel and his friends. Chilled until like 1230am. Then went home and played C&C3 with Nigel. Haha! He stayed at my house. Finally I get to multiplayer with someone. Haha.

Yep. today was a normal day. Just that I went to buy the real C&C3: Tiberium Wars. It came with the Razer Mantis, a NOD T-Shirt, and a bag. lol! It's worth the money. And now I can play online! Whoo hoo. Nigel, SJ, and whoever else. Lets play!

Humble first, then get better

Unfathomable Logic

Music: Jars of Clay - Five Candles (You Were There)

The syntax of the language I have to write in is, in fact, incredibly logical. Well, it's only as such as it is written by man. I pray that my heart will not lose track of what is more important than all this, on what is neither tangible nor fathomable by the simple human mind. May my heart be set on the One that is eternal.

Maybe you could settle, for skyline faded blue.

Savior King

Music: Hillsong United - Savior King

This is one of the best songs in the Hillsong United new album, All of the Above. Click here to listen to it (Pardon the low quality of the song).
Hillsong United - Savior King

Verse:
Let now the weak say I have strength
By the Spirit of power
That raised Christ from the dead
Let now the poor stand and confess
That my portion is Him
And I’m more than blessed

Pre Chorus:
Let now our hearts burn with a flame
A fire consuming all
For Your Son’s holy Name
And with the heavens we declare
You are our King

Chorus 1:
We love You Lord
We worship You
You are our God
You alone are good

Verse 2:
Let now Your church
Shine as the bride
That You saw in Your heart
As You offered up Your life
And now the lost be welcomed home
By the saved and redeemed
Those adopted as Your own

Chorus 2:
You asked Your Son
To carry this
The heavy cross
Our weight of sin

Chorus 3:
I love You Lord
I worship You
Hope which was lost
Now stands renewed

Chorus 4:
I give my life
To honour this
The love of Christ

Devastation & Reform

Music: Building 429 - New Season

Finally it's the last week of the holidays. (: Started of with the direction of learning more about the stuff I already do to improve myself, but I sort of got more than I bargained for. Started with drums & driving. Ended with being devastated and then reformed.
Micah 7:8

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy;
When I fall, I will arise;
When I sit in darkness,
The LORD will be a light to me.

All of the Above

Music: Hillsong United - Devotion
When You stand
The tall trees and mountains bow
When You speak
The fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen
And I fall to my knees

Devotion, written by Marty Sampson for the new Hillsong United album, All Of The Above.
The album is not fantastic, though not bad. Just that the words has its meaning. Somehow I just needed a song like this again.

iPod saves soldier's life

Music: -

iPod saves soldier's life in Iraq

A U.S. Army soldier in Iraq was saved by his iPod after the device took a bullet from an AK-47, according to a report and photos posted on Flickr.

“Kevin Garrad with the 3rd Infantry Division was patrolling the streets of Iraq when he rounded a corner and went face to face with a gun-toting insurance,” reports TG Daily. “Gun fire was exchanged and Garrad was hit in the chest. The insurgent was killed. At point blank range an AK-47 round is devastating and has a decent chance of passing through the Interceptor body armor vests used by Army soldiers, but the iPod apparently slowed the bullet enough to be stopped completely by Garrad’s vest.”

Shooter, Sunshine & Redline

Music: -

Shooter, Sunshine & Redline are the 3 movies I really want to watch now. Shooter and Sunshine will be out soon. Redline not so soon. I shall elaborate on Redline. Real estate investor Daniel Sadek creates a movie with the collection of cars which he has, including Ferrari, Saleen, Koenigsegg, Ford, Lamborghini, Mercedes, McLaren, and Porsche. The real thing is that he crashed a real Porsche Carrera GT just for the show, and the thing is, there are only a few thousand Porsche Carrera GTs in the world. Rich guy man.

Broken Heart

Music: Falling Up - Broken Heart
In this moment synchronized inside, words that paint a legacy of life
A different picture will unfold, a healing finds it's way through
Sifted times I take another breath, with an ambience of nothing left
So heal my heart rain down your love these waters bring me back to life

Father, healer, deliver me from broken love
Stay hear, closer, let me hear your voice of love
Savior, Redeemer, bring me to this place of peace
Jesus, guardian, my broken heart is so in need

When foundation of life is not there, or around the wrong stuff, life will fall apart sooner or later. That's why the world is so broken. Broken hearts. Familes fall apart, lovers break, brothers kill, nations wage war.
