Christmas this year was the worst. Yet one of the best for me. I felt like I wanted to just give up everything. I mean, what's the use of building up friendships if they are gonna be torn down in a matter of time? whats the use of being "good" when the bad always happens to you? I have ran so far away from God that I even felt that it didn't matter whether to follow Him or not, to feel that maybe the secular life is better.
But to my surprise, when I met Mingdao and Elroi today to just read the Bible, the read the book of 2 Corinthians. Though we only went through like half of chapter 1, I guess I really needed to hear what Paul sent to the church in Corinth.
When Mingdao lead the worship for the youth party, he prayed that we may live for God, even if it means losing our friends. Friendship has always been one of the most important things to me.
This christmas has taught me quite a lot. Need to pick up the pieces and carry on living for Him.

This afternoon after lunch with my family, we went to funan to get my shuffle. And I got the last in stock. =) yep. At night went for the youth party. It was very fun. Haven't laughed like that in a long time. Haven't talked to certain people like that in a long time. It was great. =)

Anyway, went back for the Christmas Cantata in church. Was quite ok, not bad. Yep. After that went for prata with like so many people.

I have been watching One Tree Hill. Though it may sound a bit gay, but it's quite a good show at first, till it gets monotonous. Well, one thing about the show is that. Things never stay right. For a few reason. One, they always do things behind each others backs. Two, they always fall into the temptation of lust. Three, they always do what they say they will never do again. This is the cycle of the show. Things never stay well for a long time.

Had to go to school for the Robocode today. Just had to go there and load the java programmed bots, made by the competitors, into the program to let them run and see who wins. All for that little bit of random firing of the bots at each other. Oh well. Later just went home and slacked. Watched CSI, Prison Break, Bleach, and played MS. Sian. When it opens, I'm gonna go there and shoot shoot shoot. :P I dunno. The place just looks nice. :P Yea. Then gonna watch movie there also. Haha!
Vivocity has the biggest cinema multiplex in SG, with 15 screens and 2,293 seats! It's Golden Village though, I somehow wished it was Cathay. :P
Anyway, VivoCity has 1.5 million square feet of gross floor area and 1.1 million square feet of retail space. That's bigger than Suntec or Taka. Big eh? :P Vivocity was designed by renowned Japanese architect, Toyo Ito.
I think the real reason I want to go is coz of the big cinema. Haha! Oh well. (:

This year, I am reminded of it again, but for some reason, I am still filled with doubt. I want to trust Him, but I'm afraid of letting things go. I'm afraid that if I keep letting go, I may in the end just lose everything. How hard is it to trust? Really Hard. To trust an invisible being. To know He is there, but you can't see that He's there. It's the same kind of situation for last year and this year, and I still can't fully trust. Teach me, Lord, to trust in You.

As of yesterday, it's exactly one month more of my school holidays. How I dread it. Oh well. The most is that I get really really bored. Haha!

Today started off quite bad. I keep getting a bad feeling. Probably it's coz I'm thinking again? Maybe. Oh well. Went quite early to church today for dunno what reason, just went early. I was in service. I hardly listened. Yea. All I know is that the preacher was talking something about volunteering to teach, and how simple the real truth about life is. I realise that I have begun worrying for nothing again, I have done my trademark move, again. Which is to turn my back on Jesus. That is bad. I didn't rely on Him. I kept thinking I could do it all by myself, and then keep questioning why I have no real friends who are there for me. In real fact, they are there, and that I'm just so blinded. A lot of pain hath I caused myself just by believing in that lie.

First Day Work

Today was my first day of work in Raffles Hotel. It was tiring not because got a lot of work. It was tiring because I was just standing around most of the time. Oh well. I would rather have do data entry or just work at a store but it's better than nothing. Oh well.

Woke up and I'm still aching from the skating 2 days ago. Ouch. That's what happens when you don't excercise for some time then you suddenly skate for half a day. lol! Take My Life

I was reading Belinda's blog. She had Matthew 6:34 on her latest post. I have seen this verse like a million times but yet this time it hit me the hardest. Maybe it's because the way it is? Not the usual NIV version. I have no idea what version this is but really helped more. For all my life, I have worried and worried. Worried even about things that have nothing to do with me. Yea. Last week I spent the whole week worrying also. About you. Yea. And I realise I don't have to. It helped me realise that I need God more. Things didn't turn out the way I had expected it. Things never do. But I know He is in control.

I guess I won't label experience with you as a mistake. It really got me to wake up. And even though things didn't work out the way I wanted it to, I'm still glad it turned out this way, my best friend.

I have spent this whole week in sentosa. Not only having fun, but spent much time trying to find myself again, to find a purpose for this life. Well, I did not find myself, I found Jesus. Years ago, one of my friends asked, "If everything but Jesus disappears, would He be enough for you?".

Finding Me

I went out into the world this yesterday morning. I went out to the world to find myself again. Somehow everything in this world just doesn't seem as purposeful as it always has been.

I played for service. I didn't feel the same passion when I started off. I don't know why I am doing anything any more. I find no purpose. Talked to you today too. Didn't go as bad as I thought it would be. I have to get my mindset right on that. Yea. Anyway, later went out for lunch then came back to church. Then after that met shawn at where he worked. Yea. I stood there and talked to him for like 3 hours. 5 to 8pm. Then Lizhen and Yena came. Went for dinner then went to watch The Break Up at Cine. Suppose to watch See No Evil lar. But don't have. Oh well. The guy in the show is really stupid lar. When you watch then you will know what I mean. Yea. Went home after that. So late man.

That's about it for my day. But behind all this, all I'm trying to do is to get crazy just to forget all the stupid mistakes I did to you. Keeps raging in my mind. That's why I stayed out the whole day, good thing my friends could go out too. But then again, why am I chasing this temporary high that I get from you? or from the craziness when I'm with my friends? I know life is difinately more than that. But yet I still live that way.

Well, I'm home now. Almost starting to think about things again. I was viewing photos at ClubSNAP again. Some guy posted pictures of COSI Children's Village, it'san orphanage just outside Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Ting Family went there too last year. Yea. Anyway, this photographer's pictures are so good! I really love them. They really make me want to keep looking at them. Yea. You can view all here. But the photo that struck me the most was this.

It's really reminds me that I need to pray. A lot. To pray pray pray. Remember those times when you were a kid? When parents or church teach you how to pray? Place your hands together, close your eyes, bow your head. Yea. Then later in life you learn to kneel in addition to that. Yea. The point is that I don't see myself doing that. I really need to do that. Pray.

Science has proven that we can live approximately 72hrs without water, Spiritually, you can only live a few minutes without hope. The Lord is my only hope.

I find myself waking everyday with a new beginning, but only you have lingered in my mine for a long time. Somehow you are just there. Sometimes that thought makes me really happy that I know you, sometimes it just troubles me as I begin to imagine things. Somehow I am so sure of it, but still scared to do anything. Some how, FOP always doesn't seem as good as the year before. I remember the first time I went, tng brought me. It was super good. It was when United Live was there doing songs from their To The Ends of The Earth album I think. If I'm not wrong. That was like the best ever. I dunno man. I really loved that one. Oh well. Another thing is that the people I go with keeps getting less and less. This year only val, alicia and me. I remember, the first time I went, we had like 15 over people going also. (: Haha! I was doing devotions this morning. Then this verse came up, Psalm 91. It reminds us that we have to place all trust in the Lord, for only He can deliver us. We do not have to be afraid of anything when we dwell in the Lord.

Today went to school for CATS for nothing!! :P Suppose to present again lar. But then the other team took up all the time. yea. And I don't think he remembered we were suppose to present again. oh well. That's about it. stayed in school and finished up my java. Left the comments only. Sigh man. I dunno how to help like yena, lizhen, shawn and the others. I just can't seem to find how to explain.

Went for service agian this week. yea. I feel like something is amiss. Oh well. Anyway, after church went with vicky, valerie and gloria for lunch. yea. 2 Long Days

Today was one crazy day! :p Most of my time in sch was spent doing WP project coz had to hand in by today. It was crazy man, stupid flash links in the end doesnt work. So changed it to image. oh well. It's still ok. (: So rush. Someone No one didn't do their part.

After school Rachel, Yena, Lizhen, KengTheng and I wanted to go like road trip lar. To all of our houses. :P In the end we just went KengTheng's house and met Rachel at Bukit Panjang Plaza. Ben, Shawn & Bala met us there also. Later they all came my house. Sorry Rachel, I dunno why, but yea. Bala pangseh us. oh well. After that we went to clementi for dinner, where Lizhen met her bf. Haha! So funny lar. We stand outside Macs and wave at them. :P Oh well. Long day. Travelled everywhere. :P



Anyway, tmr also will be a long day, going skating then Crosslink. Dunno whether going alastair's party at night. Oh well.

Today started off sleepy. I was really sleepy. Went to school for CATS. I hate CATS totally. Had to do the powerpoint presentation today and do a skit. It was really stupid. Haiz. Really bad bad. And the worst thing is that we have to go back next week and redo the skit. Argh! Then we got released late again by Mr Chan! Gay lar. oh well. Volleyball was fun though, had like tournament after S&W also. Yea. my team made to semi-finals. Finals are tmr. We won all games lar. (: Yep. Oh well. Dunno whether can go for the finals also. sian. Oh well.

Today was really crazy!! :P Haha! Went library after school to do WP and study. We did some even though it was not like a lot. yea. (: After that Shawn, Ben, Ken, Bala & I went to KAP for dinner. Talked so much crap lar. Laugh until cannot laugh also. :P Super funny. (: Oh well. Fun times, fun times. (: Eh, got exam in 2 weeks man. I better study for COS and CM. Must do well. yea. And my java program still doesn't work. haiz. Better get it fixed soon.



Anyway, today I was in school looking my MSN, or should I say, WLM. Yea. I wanted to change my nick but I didn't know what to change it too. Then I noticed the wording above the box to place your nick, it said,

The part, ".. as you want others to see it", struck me. Have I been living the way I want others to see me? For me, I can't really say I have lived the way I want others to see me. As a Christian, I do not think I have live my life that reflects the glory and love of God in every aspect of my life. Many a time I have only prayed in the morning and then forget about Him for the whole day. That's not the way it should be. As Jeffery Goh spoke about yesterday, God does not want a touch and go relationship. I have to live my life in the way that when people look at me, they will not see me, but the God who lives in me. So that people will see that this love He has for me, which is better than everything else they have/had, is the same love He has for them.



Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.



1 Peter 2:12 - Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

18th Birthday

Today was really unexpected. Those whom I didn't think would do anything, did something, those that I thought would remember, didn't wish me til very late. Oh well. What a weird change. Thanks to the people in my class 1T02!! (: Haha! really appreciate it.(: My classmates have never done anything for me before. Only now. (: That's why I was surprised. Yep. The last 37 mins. Somehow, I am happy yet not happy. Thinking back, I am really blessed with what I've got. A long way I have gone, yet there is still much more.

Complacency be something I can't shake.

This blog use to me my noisy escape when I was quiet. I placed everything I felt like saying here. But I guess it has changed. I'm more crazy outside now. And I have fewer things to say here. Only when my quiet side takes over once in a while, then I feel like blogging.

This complacency is getting the better of me. It's really becoming something I can't shake off. I'm taking for granted the people around me, taking God for granted again. Don't want to blend in, but I am.

Pizza Party

Today was really busy. (: Today is the first week of the Alpha course in my church. We had a pizza party. (: Had to prepare many things. I'm the Logi I/C. Well, I feel satisfied when I do this kind of stuff. I have no idea why. Maybe it's because I like it. Just don't like it when people force me to do it. (: I played drums today also. Felt good playing. (: The turnout for the day was good. (: got quite a few new comers. Thank God. After that went to lucy's house with amos. Met jonk after that for prata! Haha!
